On September 19, 1993, Hamburg state elections for members of the 15th legislative period of the Hamburg Parliament after the Second World War were held in the German state of Hamburg.[1] There were 1,240,259 eligible voters.[2]

863,190 voters, meaning a turnout of 69.6%, gave 844,902 valid and 18,288 invalid votes.[2] The election threshold to send a member to the Hamburg Parliament is 5%.

First Mayor Henning Voscherau was elected to be the head of state by the Hamburg Parliament again, although he did not have an absolute majority. The SPD formed a coalition with the Statt party. Erhard Rittershaus, without party membership, became second mayor for the Statt party.
